The measurement of visual function is of great significance in the field of health lighting and display. Inappropriate visual input can cause visual fatigue. The measurement indicators of the reported visual functions include thresholds, such as visual acuity, contrast sensitivity: contrast threshold, stereoscopic vision, vernier sharpness, visual field, flash fusion frequency threshold, etc. Traditional methods are less time consuming, less accurate and easily affected by other factors. The laboratory method is of high accuracy and time-consuming. The adaptive method improves the measurement efficiency, and the Bayesian adaptive method can further improve the test efficiency. Bayesian adaptive method can be applied to the measurement of reading speed.
The report points out that traditional methods are time-consuming and laborious. Bayesian adaptive method makes use of existing knowledge to improve measurement efficiency. Bayesian adaptive method combines information theory tools to improve measurement efficiency, and the measurement efficiency of Bayesian adaptive method is improved by 1.5 times. In combination with specific data, the report shared the research results of the application of Bayesian adaptive method in the amblyopia population, Vogt Koyanagi Harada disease convalescence population, the elderly population, asthenopia population and simple high myopia population.
